The company SenCere was founded in 2008 after having been started as a business development project at the Göteborg International Bioscience Business School in 2007. The business was based on an idea and a dissertation made at the then Department of Biomedicine and Surgery at Hälsouniversitetet (the University of Health), and the collaboration between Göteborg and Linköping that emerged. SenCere has evolved from a research project to a company within the Sahlgrenska Science Park incubator.

Today the company is run by Aslak Felin as CEO and a board of directors with both industrial and medical background. Research and development is conducted in Linköping by two research engineers and a medical doctor.

SenCere enters an exciting phase where the company is commencing pilot tests of their prototype with potential customers. The first commercial sale is expected to occur within one year to existing contacts in the health care system.

SenCere Medical AB is a privately held company.

SenCere Medical AB consists of:
- Aslak Felin (CEO) with four years experience of business development, is responsible for strategy, planning and administrative management. He graduated 2007 from Chalmers University of Technology with a degree in entrepreneurship and technology, specializing in life science. He has previously acted as head of sales and marketing at the Design Institute for Physical Properties.

- Karl Maack (EVP) is the company's research director and heads up research and development. He graduated in 2007 from Chalmers University of Technology in entrepreneurship and technology, specializing in life science, and is currently a PhD student at Sahlgrenska university hospital.

- The Board of Directors consists of Chairman Mats Alm, with extensive experience as Vice President of Unfors AB, a medical-technical business primarily within X-ray calibration instruments. On SenCere’s board are another five members: the physician and plastic surgeon Disa Lidman, the business angel Ann Olofsson , business consultant Anna-Karin Ström , Executive Vice President for Encubator AB, Morgan Skarin , and SenCeres Vice President Karl Maack .
